Gaming isn’t just about the game.
It’s a familiar scene - dice litter the table, rule books lay open, and empty pizza boxes sit off to the side. A group of friends put their heads together, strategizing on the best way to take down their Game Master’s big bad. Maybe they meet religiously every week, maybe they can only gather every month or even a few times a year, but they’ve all been brought together by their shared love of table top games.
Ryan Hammond, founder of New England Table Top Games, knows this experience well. As an avid tabletop gamer for over twenty years, this shared passion brought him to some of his closest friendships. He knows first hand the connections that are formed at the gaming table go well beyond the campaign or tournament. His DnD and Warhammer friends have stood by his side at his wedding and supported him through hard times (although they never had to rescue him from the upside down).
It is this joy for tabletop games that led Ryan to found New England Table Top Games. When gamers are fully immersed and involved, they can have an amazing experience that builds powerful connections. When players can fully and tangibly engage with the campaign through props, models, and set pieces, it’s easier, more exciting, and more enchanting. As an experienced GM, he knows there’s nothing better than the “oohs” and “aahs” he receives from his party when he reveals a new set piece or prop, and wants to offer that same experience to gamers across the world. As a husband and father, Ryan has also experienced first hand how life can get in the way of hobbies, and just how hard it can be to finish painting that army before the tournament.
New England Tabletop Games know that the game is about more than the game. It’s about shared community, camaraderie , creativity, and a healthy dose of escapism. It is with these values that they carefully craft each custom order, hoping to help every customer have the best gaming experience possible.
